New Beginnings ( WE ARE BACK)

WE’RE BACK! 🌸
After months of waiting, rebuilding, worrying, planning, and definitely more than a few tears…The Rustic Magnolia Florist is officially OPEN again! And I honestly don’t know if I have the words to explain how good it feels to finally say that.
On May 31st, our world changed when we lost our flower shop to a fire. In a matter of hours, the shop we had worked so hard to build was gone. But what wasn’t gone was **The Rustic Magnolia.**
On May 31st, our world changed when we lost our flower shop to a fire. In a matter of hours, the shop we had worked so hard to build was gone. But what wasn’t gone was **The Rustic Magnolia.**
We still had our amazing customers. We still had our weddings and events. We still had our community cheering us on. And we still had a whole lot of determination to figure out what came next. So we kept going. We designed from wherever we could. We filled orders. We showed up for our weddings. We searched for a new home. And little by little, we started putting the pieces back together.
Throughout all of this, people kept telling us, Everything happens for a reason,” and “There will be a silver lining.” I’ll be honest — when you're standing there looking at everything you've worked so hard for disappear, those are really hard words to believe.
At the time, I couldn't see the reason. I definitely couldn't see the silver lining. But now, a few months later, I think maybe we're starting to.
A New Home 🌿
A New Home 🌿
Those pieces brought us to our beautiful new home at:
225 South Main Street, Rutland, Vermont, and maybe this place is part of that silver lining.
I have to take a minute to talk about our landlord because he deserves to be part of this story.
Sometimes people come into your life at exactly the right time, and that is exactly how we feel about him. Our landlord is truly one of the most incredible humans we have ever met. From the very beginning, he has shown us nothing but kindness, patience, understanding, and support. After everything we had just been through, having someone believe in us and genuinely want to see us succeed meant more than I can put into words. He didn't just give The Rustic Magnolia a building to move into he gave us our new flower home!🌸 There really are some incredible people in this world, and we were lucky enough to find one when we needed it most. We will forever be grateful for his kindness and for giving us the opportunity to make 225 South Main Street our new home.
And what a home it is becoming! This space is bigger, brighter, and gives us so much room to grow.
We have fresh flowers, plants, gifts, everyday arrangements, sympathy flowers, wedding and event florals, and plenty more coming as we settle in.
There are still things to finish. There are still boxes to unpack. And there will probably be something we're looking for that we *swear* we just saw five minutes ago. 😂
But we're here. And that's what matters.
Opening Day ❤️
October 6th was our first official day back open, and seeing familiar faces walk through those doors meant more to us than you probably realize.
People stopped in to buy flowers. Some came just to see the new shop. Some came simply to say, "Welcome back.”
After everything these last few months have brought, that was pretty incredible. This community supported us when we weren't sure what was going to happen next. You shared our posts, placed orders, checked on us, encouraged us, and continued trusting us with some of the most important moments in your lives. We will never forget that!
This Is Just the Beginning, Losing our shop wasn't part of the plan. Starting over definitely wasn't part of the plan either. But sometimes life changes the plan for you. Maybe everything really does happen for a reason. Maybe there really is a silver lining after some of the hardest days.
I don't know that I would have believed that on May 31st.
But standing inside our new flower home today, I think I finally understand what everyone was trying to tell us.
We're incredibly proud of what we've built at 225 South Main Street, and we're even more excited about what is still to come.
Thank you to our family, our employees, our customers, our fellow small businesses, our incredible landlord, and this amazing community for helping us get here.
It really did take a village to get us back on our feet.
**The Rustic Magnolia Florist is back.** 🌸
And we cannot wait to serve you and our community from our new flower home.
